Armor-All Car Wash Packs vs. DIY: A Cost Controller’s TCO Comparison

And for the rest—OBD scanner, tow bar, tire sealant—the same principle applies. Total cost, not ticket price. A tool that makes you money is more valuable than one that only saves you money. A bargain that costs you labor is a mistake.

That’s the spreadsheet view. It took me three years—or rather, four if you count the six months of denial—to understand that the best buying decision depends on how you use the product, not how cheaply you can get it on the shelf.
